We have testing on most Friday's. If there are make-up tests to take, I have to give during the student's recesses. I have no other time to give them. I do not want them missing the daily lessons.

This week students learned about volcanoes and connected our reading to poetry writing.

Writing:
Students wrote a free verse poem from the perspective of a volcano or magma. We focused on strong verbs, imagery, and revising for better word choice.
