HOMEWORK:

We have testing on most Friday's. If there are make-up tests to take, I have to give during the student's recesses. I have no other time to give them. I do not want them missing the daily lessons.

Weekly update:
By the End of the Week, Students Will...
Reading: Students will be able to identify and explain important details from the MyView Unit 2, Week 1 selection, understand and apply weekly vocabulary, and use text evidence to answer comprehension questions.
Writing: Students will be able to select an animal for their habitat research project, identify reliable research sources, gather important facts about their animal, and organize information using a research graphic organizer.
Math: Students will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the concepts taught in Big Ideas Math Chapter 5, Lessons 5.4–5.9, complete independent practice problems, and prepare for the Chapter 5 assessment on Monday.
Research Skills: Students will be able to locate relevant information, take organized notes in their own words, and begin identifying sources used during research.
Overall Weekly Goal: By the end of the week, students will have strengthened their reading comprehension and vocabulary skills, completed their animal research preparation and initial research, and practiced the Chapter 5 math concepts in preparation for their upcoming assessment.
