WELCOME TO THE SOLOMON SCHOOL CAFETERIA
WELCOME to the Solomon School Cafeteria Website. The Cafeteria is maintained as a vital part of the health program of the school. Since good nutrition impacts classroom performance, our menus and food preparation is designed to assist student learning. We also encourage parents to help their children to eat healthy, nutritious foods both at school and at home. With this in mind, we strive to provide a healthful meal for your child in a clean and pleasant environment.
Schools will take applications and use family income to qualify kids for free, reduce-price, or paid meals.
Breakfast for students at full price is $0.50; Reduce price $0.25; Extra milk $0.25. Adult Breakfast is $2.65 Lunch for students at full price is $2.15; Reduce price $0.40; and Adult price is $3.40.
Please check our menu calendar on this page every month to see what we are planning. Just click on the word menu next to quick links. Feel free to print out a copy each month to keep for yourselves.
ALL student families are encouraged to apply for the National School Lunch Program for free or reduced price meals. This program can provide free or reduced price breakfast and lunch to your children attending school. Applications and guidelines are available in the school office. One application will cover all siblings in all grades. All applications and resulting meal price reductions are kept CONFIDENTIAL!! The cafeteria cashier computer does not show a student's status when they "purchase" a meal. The free/reduce lunch application is available in the downloads tab at the top of the page.
"Free language assistance, auxiliary aids, and/or accommodations are available upon request."
The cashier will notify the students that their lunch account needs a deposit, or a letter will be sent out to the parents. Parents with students on a family account should remember $10.00 would only cover 1 or 2 days if there are several children on one account. Parents need to encourge their children to bring home the payment reminders.
Thanks and lets all have a great year!!!
