| Revised Budget Hearing
The Governing Board of Solomon Elementary School District #5 will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, December 1, 2009 at 5:30 p.m. in the school's Media Center. The purpose of the hearing is to present the FY 2009-2010 Revised Annual School District Expenditure Budget and Capital Accumulation Plan. This hearing will be followed by a regular meeting to adopt the revised Expenditure Budget and Capital Accumulation Plan. The public is invited to attend all meetings.

STUDENT GOALS
To individualize the learning program in order to provide appropriately for each student. To protect and observe the legal right of students. To enchance the self-image of each student through helping him feel respected and worthy, and through a learning environment that provides positive encouragement. To provide an environment of reality in which students can learn personal and civic responsibility for their actions through meaningful experiences as school citizens. To deal with students in matter of discipline in a just and constructive manner. To promote regular attendance and good work.

Fiscal Year 2009-2010 Proposed Expenditure Budget
Solomon Elemenatry School District will have a public hearing and board meeting to adopts its Fiscal Year 2010 Expenditure Budget on July 14, 2009. A summary of the Proposed Expendiure Budget may viewed on the Arizona Department of Education's Website. The complete Proposed Expenditure Budget may be reviewed by contacting Anne Hinton, Business Manager at the District Office, telephone (928)428-0477 during normal business hours.

SCHOOL TAX CREDIT
By making a cash contribution or pay a fee to a public school for support of extracurricular activities or for a character education program you will receive a tax credit. The credit is equal to the amount contributed or the amount of fees paid. For single taxpayers or head of household the credit cannot exceed $200.00 per calendar year. For married taxpayers that file a joint return the credit cannot exceed $400.00 per calendar year. If married taxpayers file separate returns each spouse may claim ½ of the credit that would have been allowed on a joint return. CHANGE IN PHONE NUMBER OR ADDRESS
