We have testing on most Friday's. If there are make-up tests to take, I have to give during the student's recesses. I have no other time to give them. I do not want them missing the daily lessons.

How to summarize an argumentative text by including claim + key evidence. How to explain how evidence strengthens an argument. How to write a clear opinion paragraph using: A strong topic sentence Two supporting reasons Text evidence Transition words A closing sentence How to revise writing for clarity and strength of argument. ⭐ 4th Grade – Unit 4 Week 1 By the End of the Week, Students Will Know… The key characteristics of a folktale (characters, problem, solution, lesson). How to identify character traits and support them with text evidence. How to describe the problem and solution in “Can You Guess My Name?”. How to determine the theme of a folktale using details from the story. How to summarize the story using the Somebody–Wanted–But–So–Then structure. How to plan and write a short folktale narrative that includes: Characters A problem or mystery Clues A clear solution A theme or lesson Dialogue and descriptive details How to revise writing for clarity, dialogue, and strong story structure.
